From the Heritage Collection, our 'Hermann' thick, full-cushioned knee-high socks are specifically designed for gumboots and motorcyle boots and extend right up to just below the knee.
Made in Australia from premium Australian-grown merino wool, they're designed to provide warmth, cushioning and lasting comfort in gumboots, motorcycle boots, tall work boots and other taller footwear.
Designed for farmers, outdoor workers and anyone who spends long periods wearing gumboots, 'Hermann' socks provide additional warmth, protection and comfort higher up the leg. Their thick cushioning and breathable merino wool help regulate temperature while providing all-day comfort in demanding Australian conditions.
The outside of the sock is a tidy plain knit, while on the inside the threads are pulled by terry jacks during knitting to form a loop between every stitch (like the surface of a towel), giving them a springy feel and extra air pockets for insulation.
Strong and durable, 'Hermann' socks are the ideal choice for gumboots, tall work boots and outdoor adventures where extra coverage and warmth are needed.

What are your ‘Hermann’ socks made from?
Our 'Hermann' socks are made from 75% Australian-grown merino wool (which helps with temperature regulation and moisture wicking), and 25% nylon for strength and durability.
Are these socks itchy?

Can I wear these socks year-round?

How do I wash merino socks?
Sizing will be correct after the first wash. We recommend a quick, cold machine wash. They should be washed separately, or in a hosiery and lingerie wash bag so they do not catch on other garments.
