Love our 'Max' thick, full-cushioned merino wool work socks, but need extra length for taller boots? Our 'Max Plus' socks are designed for those who need a longer work boot sock, with approximately 8cm added to the leg length of our traditional 'Max' socks.
Following feedback from emergency service workers, we created 'Max Plus' to sit comfortably above the cuff of longer work boots while providing the same warmth, cushioning and durability as our original 'Max' socks. Made from premium Australian-grown merino wool, these Australian-made work socks are designed for long days on your feet in demanding conditions.
The outside of the sock is a tidy plain knit, while on the inside the threads are pulled by terry jacks during knitting to form a loop between every stitch (like the surface of a towel), giving them a springy feel and extra air pockets for insulation.
The natural insulating properties of merino wool help keep your feet warm in winter and cool in summer, while its moisture-wicking properties help maintain comfort inside work boots. Nylon is added for extra strength and durability, helping these socks last for years to come.

Our 'Max Plus' socks are suitable for work boots more than 20cm in height. If you're after a shorter length work boot sock you may wish to try our 'Max' or 'Max' Loose Top socks.

What are your ‘Max Plus’ socks made from?
Our 'Max Plus' socks are made from 75% Australian-grown merino wool (which helps with temperature regulation and moisture wicking), and 25% nylon for strength and durability.
Are these socks itchy?
Not at all! Merino wool is incredibly soft, making the socks perfect for all-day comfort.
Can I wear these socks year-round?

How do I wash merino socks?
Sizing will be correct after the first wash. We recommend a quick, cold machine wash. They should be washed separately, or in a hosiery and lingerie wash bag so they do not catch on other garments.
