'Hermann' has been specifically designed for situations where a traditional work sock simply doesn't offer enough coverage.
The longer leg sits just below the knee, helping protect your lower leg from rubbing inside gumboots while providing extra warmth during colder weather.
Inside, thick terry loops create soft cushioning around the foot and leg. Similar to the texture of a towel, these loops trap warm air for insulation while cushioning every step.

Will they slide down?

Are they suitable for hiking?
Yes. Many customers wear 'Hermann' socks for hiking in taller boots where additional warmth and leg protection are appreciated.

Yes, many customers find them comfortable inside taller riding boots. However, it's important to note that our 'Hermann' socks are a thick, full-cushioned style, so they will not accommodate snug-fitting boots.
Why do you use nylon?
Nylon adds strength and durability, helping the socks withstand everyday wear while retaining the comfort and performance of merino wool.
Can they go in the dryer?
No. To avoid shrinkage, we recommend a cold, gentle machine wash and line-drying away from a heat source.
