From the Heritage Collection, our 'Max' thick, full-cushioned merino socks have been keeping feet in gumboots, work boots or hiking boots, warm and comfortable for generations. They're available in a wide range of colours and have an elastic top and well fitting heel.
The outside of the sock is a tidy plain knit, while on the inside the threads are pulled by terry jacks during knitting to form a loop between every stitch (like the surface of a towel) giving them a springy feel and extra air pockets for insulation.
Strong and durable, they are the ultimate work and outdoor/adventure sock.
Our 'Max' socks are suitable for work boots up to 20cm in height. If you're after a longer length work boot sock you may wish to try our 'Max Plus' socks.
